SOFIE YSEWIJN becomes a mother in 2015. Her challenge: finding pretty clothes for her son who are neither too cool, nor too bland, nor too expensive. What if she created them herself? She launched Cos I Said So in 2016, a Belgian and organic brand of different clothes for children.
Who is SOFIE YSEWIJN?
Anversoise SOFIE YSEWIJN has fashion and business in the skin. Little girl, she grew up in the textile sector and has always dreamed of opening her store. She even made objects that she "sold" in her shop at home.
Her professional life begins in Ireland where she works in a fashion agency responsible for the distribution of several major international brands. Back in Belgium in 2010, she continued in this sector in an Antwerp family business.
It is at the birth of her son Nathan that his need for flexibility and independence is felt, to get closer to her dream of a little girl ... Instead of opening her store, she then opens her eshop in 2016.
A crazy success from the start

Basics appeal for several reasons: easy cuts, timeless models and unisex colors. A minimalist brand but still impactful. The clothes are made from comfortable and high quality organic cotton.

Sofie finds her inspiration everywhere: de Pinterest, a tattoo of a stranger, music, a film, on vacation ... She holds everything, she notes everything. As the collections develop in its head, prints and quotes come together to form a whole.
Always respect the environment
Sofie is betting on creating organic clothes designed in Antwerp and products in Portugal. For what ? Because she is convinced that each small gesture counts.
Organic cotton, recycled materials and non-toxic paint techniques are part of the brand's ecological production process. It's good for the planet and for children's health, we love it!
The cos i said so fabrics are unique. "I do not choose from a range of fabrics, but I have them manufactured by my manufacturer," says Sofie.
And the icing on the cake, Cos I Said So makes it a point of honor to offer a pleasant and correct working environment to its teams and suppliers. A faultless in our absence!
